7th National Conference
The 7th National Conference of the PTU DEP was held on 23rd and 24th of May, 2009 in Goa. The chief guest of the meeting was Dr. R.K Chauhan, Secretary, University Grants Commission, New Delhi. The meeting was attended by Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU, Dr. O.P. Bajpai, Chairman DEC members, namely, Sh. J.B. Goel, Dr. S.S.Patnaik, Dr. Deepak Garg, Professor K.K. Ghai and all Regional Centers. The Chief Guest and other dignitaries launched the prospectus of the year 2009.The Chief Guest in his address appreciated the qualitative efforts put in by Punjab Technical University through its distance education program to provide easy access to higher education opportunities in the country. Presentations were made on Action taken report-2008, Futuristic Road Map of PTU DEP, Soft Skills & Placements, Support Services through ICT in distance Education, Examination Reforms, Industry Academia Partnership.
