Seminar by Maruti Suzuki

 

 

Quest Infosys organised a seminar on “Career Opportunities in Automobile Sector”.for PTU DEP students on 2nd December 2009 at GGNIVS Civil Lines Ludhiana. Mr. Sharma HR Manager Swani Motors and Ms. Navita HR Manager Libra Automobiles were given a warm welcome by Mr. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Coordinator GGNIVS, faculty members and students. The resource person explained in detail about MARUTI SUZUKI and its Job opportunities. It was stated that Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation of Japan, is India’s largest passenger car company, accounting for over 50% of the domestic car market.

Representatives of Maruti Suzuki explained about the career opportunities in Automobile Company, their hiring norms, recruitment process different services, assets, turnover etc. They were also explained about the current openings and procedure of selection in Maruti Suzuki Company. They also mentioned about their new products like different Cars which are already in market and also which are going to be launched in next few months. Ms. Navita also told that for families, there are events like Women's Fun Drive and Treasure Hunt throughout the year, across cities. There are also Mileage rallies for our brands across India. This year we organized a Maruti Suzuki-Autocar Young Driver 2009, a nationwide search for India's best young driving talent. This competition tested the competitors' knowledge of traffic rules, awareness of road safety along with their real-world driving skill. The queries of the students were answered by Ms. Navita. All students were made clear about investors and brands of the same company.

 

Placement officer Mr. Heera Kamboj,  said that the eligible candidates are selected by the companies and trained properly. Considering the wide scope of Automobile Sector, it is not surprising that more and more candidates are dreaming to develop a career in Automobile Industry.

 

Commenting on this activity Mr. Jaspreet Singh, Regional Manager, Quest Infosys said that Seminars like this makes students aware about company.

Mr. Harinder Kanda, CEO Quest Infosys also stated that such kind of Seminars helps the students to improve themselves and to gain their knowledge about the corporate sector. Mr. D.S Sekhon, President, AIPTUDEP said that students should have knowledge about today’s scenario and after that they can mould themselves according to the nature of the market.
