Sparsh-2011
30 July 2011: PTU Learning Center, HIHT Shimla organized annual Cultural Program “SPARSH 2011” at “Jesus & Mary Convent School Auditorium, Shimla” on the beautiful evening of 30th July 2011 in the presence of a number of eminent personalities. The spectacular evening was organized by the students of HIHT. The cultural extravaganza was inaugurated by unveiling of the new logo of the Heritage Group and commenced with lighting of the ceremonial diya by Guest of Honor Mr. Arun Diwakar Nath Bajpai, Vice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University & Group President, HIHT Mr. D. K. Singh. Mr. Angshuman Chatterjee Director (Academics) welcomed all the guests on behalf of HIHT.
The fusion of Indian and classical programme, elegant dance performances, melodious songs, hilarious Laughter Show and exciting Fashion Show organized by the students made the evening more starry and memorable for all the guests. A bouquet of amazing and awesome performances was presented which kept the capacity-filled auditorium at its feet. A multicultural atmosphere was created and forced the spectators present at the evening belted to their seats. In the event about 53 students were awarded for their meritorious achievements in academics, cultural activities, sports, and various co- curricular activities. Shyam Kumar Patel was awarded with Gold Medal for Best Trainee during the Industrial Training & Sumit Sharma was awarded with gold medal in general activities
