After ten years of the start of Distance Education in PTU, a dedicated directorate of Distance Education has been established in PTU which will independently deal with all matters pertaining to the distance education programme. It will have various sections like Establishment, Academics, EDP, Accounts, Examinations and Administration. The directorate besides further streamlining the processes will lay a special focus on the present challenges, enhancing learning materials and make them more interactive. It will have an in-house studio for recording of lectures from experts and trainers and then make them available on the learning management system. University also intends to develop a very intellectual question bank so as to evaluate the students for practicality of the subject. After the development of the question bank the University will transform its examination system that would be conducted online. University geared up to keep pace with the growing need of distance education in India and emerge as a prominent provider.
