Features / Working Model of PTU DDE

You are currenlty here:  Home  /  Distance Education  /  Features  /  Working Model of PTU DDE

One of the major strengths of the program is the unique public-private-partnership model, the University has adopted for running the Distance Education Programme. In this model, the University has retained the control of all its essential functions including academics, course material, testing, evaluation, certification and governance whereas the private parties are allocated allied functions such as database management, management information system, training, call centre, promotions, logistics and assistance to University wherever they desire etc. The University has established 42 Regional Centres in this private model across the country to facilitate the programme. These regional centres reports the Directorate of Distance Education in various prescribed formats and meets the authorities very frequently to apprise them of the ground realities that are valuable for policy decisions. These regional Centres act as vibrant bridges between the University and Learning Centres and students.
